Home Inspections

No home is perfect, not even a newly constructed home. Over the past 20 years we have been in business, a professionally conducted home inspection has become standard procedure in a Real Estate transaction. An experienced home inspector knows how the home's many systems and components interact and work together. A primary purpose of the inspection is to educate the buyer about the home they are purchasing. Huffman Inspections encourages the buyer to attend the home inspection. Attending the inspection provides an important opportunity for the buyer to learn first hand how their prospective new home works.

During a resale home inspection, the primary focus is on the condition and functionality of the numerous components of the existing home.

Huffman Inspections, Inc., records observations during your inspection on a Motion Tablet PC. This assures a comprehensive inspection meeting the highest professional standards. This system enables us to give you a full and extensive report on site describing the components of the home on site.

Our home inspection is a visual examination of the components of a home per the InterNACHI Standards of Practice. Huffman Inspections, Inc. performs a thorough examination of the property, including (but not necessarily limited to):

  • Siting and Drainage
  • Utilities
  • Exterior - roof, walls, doors, & windows
  • Electrical system
  • Plumbing - supply, drainage, & fixtures
  • Water heater
  • Heating & cooling
  • Insulation
  • Structure
  • Major Appliances
  • Attic & Crawl spaces.

We report the conditions observed during the inspection both verbally and in our computer generated report. The report includes photos of the areas of concern when verbal descriptions typically raise questions.  The report is presented in a three ring binder which includes additional homeowner information and maintenance tips. We also furnish the buyer's agent with an "executive summary" that gives an overview of the home and observations made at the inspection.

If you or your Agent is unable to attend the inspection a copy of the report will be emailed to you.
